What we collect, how long it's kept, and who else can see it
"No ID" doesn't mean "no data". This is everything that exists when you buy, based on how the store actually works.

What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you scan a QR code (or tap Install eSIM) and the plan downloads to your phone.
Do I need ID, an account or an email?
No. There's no ID check (no KYC), no account needed and no email. Your order page link is your receipt, so bookmark it. If you like, an optional account (just a username and password, no email) keeps all your eSIMs in one place.
How do I pay?
With Bitcoin over the Lightning Network, from any Lightning wallet (for example Phoenix, Wallet of Satoshi, Strike, Cash App or Breez). Prices are set in US dollars. The sats amount is locked when your invoice is created, and the invoice expires after 15 minutes.
Is Zap eSIM anonymous?
No, and we don't claim it is. We don't ask for ID, an account or an email. But your order details live in your order link, our host keeps request logs with IP addresses for about an hour, Strike processes the Lightning payment, our eSIM supplier sees the eSIM's identifiers and usage, and the mobile network carries your traffic. Is my connection private and secure?

Bitcoin payments aren't anonymous, but you don't hand over a name, card or ID to buy. The connection is a normal mobile data connection: traffic between your phone and the mobile network uses the carrier's standard encryption. Which networks does it use?
Verizon and AT&T in the US, 5G/LTE where available. These are multi-network plans, so there's no network to choose. Coverage and speeds depend on your location and your phone.
Is the Unlimited plan really unlimited?
Unlimited means no hard data cap, with a daily fair-use limit: the first 2 GB each day at full speed, then up to 1 Mbps (best effort, often lower), daily reset about every 24 h. Unlimited eSIMs can't be topped up yet; buy a new plan when your days run out.
When does my plan start?
Your plan's validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, not when you buy it.
Will I keep my phone number?
Yes. Zap eSIM plans are data-only and sit alongside your existing SIM, so your number keeps working for calls and texts.
Can I use it as a hotspot?
Hotspot/tethering usually works, but it depends on your phone and isn't guaranteed. If you rely on it, test it soon after you install the eSIM.
How do I add more data?
Open the order link you saved after buying, or go to Top up and paste it, then pick an amount (+1 GB $0.90, +3 GB $8.49, +5 GB $11.99, +10 GB $19.99) and pay the Lightning invoice. The data goes on the same eSIM. Top-ups are for GB plans only.
What if something goes wrong?
Email zap.it.863@gmail.com with your order ID. If your eSIM wasn't delivered, we'll deliver it or refund you. If it hasn't been installed and our supplier allows it, we can refund it as store credit or, case by case, by Lightning. See our refund policy.
